Overview
Brilliant Lady is the newest and fourth ship in the Virgin Voyages fleet, launching in September 2025 with a maiden voyage from New York to Bermuda. She carries the same 110,000 gross tons and roughly 2,770 passengers as her three sisters, with the same adults-only concept, included dining, and no-buffet approach.
What makes Brilliant Lady different is where she goes. She is the first Virgin Voyages ship modified for Panama Canal transit, and her inaugural season takes her from New York through Miami, across the canal to Los Angeles, and then up to Seattle for the fleet's first Alaska sailings in summer 2026. That means destinations no other Virgin ship has covered - Ketchikan, Sitka, Tracy Arm Fjord, plus West Coast ports like San Francisco, Catalina Island, and Cabo San Lucas.
The ship itself has minor layout tweaks, including an expanded Athletic Club with glass panels designed for glacier and canal viewing, but the dining venues, cabin types, and onboard experience are otherwise the same as Scarlet Lady. If you want the Virgin Voyages formula in Alaska or on the US West Coast, Brilliant Lady is currently the only option.
